The North Fork Art Collective, a collective group comprised of local artists from both the north and south forks of Long Island, will open their newly remodeled space on Friday, May 25th from 6 until 9 pm, at 15 Front Street, the former location of Calypso.
An opening reception featuring the art of collective members will take place on Friday, May 25th from 6 until 9pm, with cheese & charcuterie by Lombardi's Love Lane Market, Craft beer provided by Greenport Harbor Brewing co., Wine by Bedell Cellars and original live music by member Dalton Portella.
The new home for the collective is a more permanent installation in relation to their initial pop-up space just a few doors down on Front Street. The space will function as an exhibition venue for collective and community members as well as a working studio environment and workshop for classes and presentations.
The Annual Collective members for 2018 include founder and manager Kara Hoblin (chalk artist), multimedia artist & photographer Dalton Portella, draftswoman Kelly Franké, photographer Sarah Prescott, environmental artist Cindy Pease Roe, painter Emma Ballou, Photographer Madison Fender, painter Verona Peñalba, and multimedia artist Scott Bluedorn.
